In a significant political development, Rishi Pal, the husband of Congress MLA Renu Bala from Sadhaura, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday. The event took place in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini during a programme in Vyaspur town, Yamunanagar district.
Political Shift in Sadhaura
Rishi Pal, a former Congress leader and engineer, formally left the Congress party to align with the BJP. Chief Minister Saini remarked, "By joining the party, former Congress leader and Engineer Rishi Pal has expressed faith in the policies and developmental works of the BJP." This move is seen as a major setback for the Congress in the region.
Background of Renu Bala
Renu Bala is the Congress MLA from the reserved Sadhaura Assembly constituency in Yamunanagar.
