Congress Slams BJP MP Arvind Over Modi Remark, Defends CM Revanth

The Congress party on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on BJP MP D Arvind, accusing him of attempting to mislead the public regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent remark. Congress leaders alleged that Arvind fears Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will not only restore Congress to power in Telangana but also impede the BJP's expansion in South India and work towards making Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister.

Congress Leaders Hit Back

Several prominent Congress figures, including MPs Mallu Ravi and M Anil Kumar Yadav, SC & ST Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar, government whip Adi Srinivas, and MLC Addanki Dayakar, condemned Arvind's statements. They challenged the BJP MP to inform the people of Telangana about the funds and project approvals he has secured from the central government by convincing the Prime Minister. They further urged him to persuade Modi to extend enhanced Minimum Support Price (MSP) to all crops.

Mallu Ravi's Remarks

Mallu Ravi stated, "This is not West Bengal or Bihar. The Chief Minister here is Revanth Reddy. He possesses the capability, courage, and confidence to boldly assert that he will become chief minister once again. By employing strategic counter-moves, Revanth can successfully bring the Congress back to power. He is actively working to strengthen the party across South India. Dharmapuri Arvind is merely trying to impede Revanth's momentum. D Srinivas, Arvind's father, spent 90 percent of his political career in the Congress."

Anil Kumar Yadav's Comments

Rajya Sabha MP M Anil Kumar Yadav sarcastically remarked that Arvind appeared to have spoken under the effect of the ongoing heatwave in the state. He advised, "He should carry an umbrella while moving in the sun. Everyone knows there are internal differences and disputes among BJP leaders. Arvind and other BJP leaders should settle such disputes within the party. The Congress elevated your father to the position of PCC president for two terms."

Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar's Challenge

SC and ST Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar demanded that Arvind explain to the people why the Modi government is increasing petrol and diesel prices. He also questioned when Arvind would secure approvals and funding for Telangana's key infrastructure projects.

The Congress leaders collectively emphasized that CM Revanth Reddy is a strong leader capable of countering BJP's strategies and ensuring the party's resurgence in the region.
