Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced a unique interactive session with the youth of the national capital, scheduled for this weekend. The event, aptly named 'Lunch Pe Charcha', is set to take place on Sunday, January 11.
An Informal Platform for Dialogue
Making the announcement during the Winter Session of the Delhi Assembly, CM Gupta extended an open invitation to all young residents of Delhi. She highlighted that the timing of the event is strategic, falling a day before National Youth Day, which is observed on January 12. "Since January 12 is a working day and you will all be busy, Sunday, January 11 – Let's meet over lunch," Gupta stated, inviting participation.
Agenda: Review and Roadmap
The interaction is designed to serve a dual purpose. Firstly, it will feature an honest review of her government's performance over the past 11 months, since it assumed office in February of the previous year. Secondly, and more crucially, the floor will be opened for a discussion on the problems and complaints faced by the youth over the last 11 years.
CM Gupta emphasized that the conversation will not be limited to just identifying issues. Practical ways to implement suggestions put forward by the young participants will also be a key part of the dialogue. The aim is to translate feedback into actionable government policy.
How to Join the Conversation
In a move to ensure wide accessibility, the Chief Minister has urged interested youngsters to register their participation through social media. Potential attendees can comment or send direct messages on the official social media handles to secure their spot for this direct interaction with the city's leadership.
This initiative marks a continued effort by the Delhi government to engage directly with its citizens, particularly the younger demographic, fostering a sense of involvement in the governance process.
