Dhanbad Administration Implements Robust Preparations for Urban Local Body Elections

The district administration in Dhanbad has undertaken extensive preparations to ensure that the upcoming urban local body polls are conducted in a peaceful, transparent, and fair manner. Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Sunny Raj has confirmed that comprehensive arrangements have been established, featuring tight security measures extending from strong rooms to polling stations across the region.

Comprehensive Election Infrastructure Established

DDC Sunny Raj announced on Wednesday that the administration has constituted thirteen dedicated election cells to oversee the electoral process. Nodal officers along with supporting staff have been appointed to manage these cells efficiently. Separate rooms have been identified at the collectorate specifically for the nomination process of candidates contesting for mayor, chairperson, and ward councillor positions.

The counting of votes is scheduled to take place at the Government Polytechnic on February 27, following the polling day set for February 23. This structured timeline ensures a smooth transition from voting to result declaration.

Strict Adherence to Election Guidelines

These meticulous preparations underscore the administration's commitment to conducting a secure and orderly electoral process, ensuring that the democratic rights of all citizens are upheld without compromise.
