In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh's Pratapgarh district, a 50-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly beating his 30-year-old daughter to death after she refused to cook for him. The accused, identified as Ramlal, a resident of Gaura Attarsand village, reportedly told police that he was drunk and attacked his daughter in a fit of rage.

Incident Details

According to police reports, Ramlal had brought his daughter Sonam from her in-laws' house on Tuesday afternoon. Later that day, he went to the market in Kandhai, sold wheat, and used the money to purchase two pouches of country liquor. He consumed the alcohol on his way back home.

Upon returning, he asked his daughter if she had prepared a meal. When she refused, Ramlal became enraged. He grabbed a stick and struck her repeatedly. The victim lay about 15 steps away from the house throughout the night while her father slept, intoxicated.
