A shocking incident has been reported from Uttar Pradesh, where a 45-year-old man allegedly killed his 16-year-old daughter with an axe while under the influence of alcohol. The reason: she did not cook food for him.

The incident took place in the village of Khamaria under the jurisdiction of the Kotwali police station in the district of Bahraich. The accused, identified as Ram Naresh, was reportedly intoxicated when he attacked his daughter, Priyanka, with an axe on the night of Sunday, March 16.
According to police reports, Ram Naresh had demanded food from his daughter, but when she did not comply, he flew into a rage and struck her multiple times with the axe. Priyanka died on the spot.
Arrest and Legal Action
Following the incident, neighbors alerted the police, who arrived at the scene and arrested Ram Naresh. The body of the victim has been sent for post-mortem examination.
Superintendent of Police (SP) of Bahraich, Vipin Mishra, confirmed the arrest and stated that a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The investigation is ongoing.
