A tragic incident occurred in Kanpur's Ghatampur area late Wednesday night, resulting in the death of a 50-year-old farmer. The victim, identified as Suresh, a resident of Amiratepur, lost his life when his motorcycle veered off the road and plunged into a water pipe channel near the Ghughua bridge under the Reuna police station limits.
Discovery of the Body
The incident came to light early Thursday morning when local villagers spotted the body floating in the water channel. They immediately informed the police, who arrived at the scene to investigate. Authorities identified the deceased and notified his family members about the tragic event.

According to police officials, Suresh was returning from his sister-in-law's house late at night. While traveling on the Bandha road, near the Ghughua bridge, his motorcycle reportedly went out of control. The bike skidded and fell into the adjacent water channel, leading to his death.
Station in-charge Anuj Rajput confirmed that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination at a local hospital. He stated that further action would be taken based on the post-mortem report and any written complaint filed by the family.
