In a devastating series of events, three individuals lost their lives in two separate road accidents that occurred in Gaya on Thursday night. The incidents have sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting ongoing concerns about road safety in the region.

Motorcycle Collision Claims Two Young Lives

The first accident involved a motorcycle carrying two youths, Prakash Kumar and Shrikant Das, both residents of Jamuhar Laladih village under the Mohanpur police station in Gaya. The men, who were in their late 20s, were traveling to Dobhi when an unidentified vehicle struck them near Mayapur. Both sustained critical injuries in the collision and succumbed to their wounds during treatment at a hospital later that same night.

Barachatti station house officer Inspector Amrendra Kishore confirmed the details, stating that the bodies were handed over to the families after post-mortem examinations. Police are actively working to identify the vehicle involved in this tragic incident, with investigations ongoing to determine the exact circumstances of the crash.

Car Overturn Results in Elderly Woman's Death

In a separate and equally tragic incident, a 60-year-old woman named Domini Devi was killed when the car she was traveling in overturned near Pipra village under the Wazirganj police station late on Thursday night. The accident also left five other individuals injured, all of whom were residents of Baniya Bigha village in Nawada district.

The group was returning home after attending a cremation when the vehicle lost control and overturned. The injured victims have been admitted to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital in Gaya for medical treatment. Authorities are examining the scene to understand the cause of this accident, which adds to the growing toll of road fatalities in the area.

Community Impact and Safety Concerns

These back-to-back accidents have underscored urgent safety issues on Gaya's roads, prompting calls for enhanced traffic measures and public awareness. Local officials are urging drivers to exercise caution, especially during nighttime travel, as investigations into both cases continue. The loss of three lives in a single night has left families grieving and the community demanding stricter enforcement of road regulations to prevent future tragedies.
