Both sustained critical injuries in the collision and succumbed to their wounds during treatment at a hospital later that same night.
Barachatti station house officer Inspector Amrendra Kishore confirmed the details, stating that the bodies were handed over to the families after post-mortem examinations. In a separate and equally tragic incident, a 60-year-old woman named Domini Devi was killed when the car she was traveling in overturned near Pipra village under the Wazirganj police station late on Thursday night. The accident also left five other individuals injured, all of whom were residents of Baniya Bigha village in Nawada district.
The group was returning home after attending a cremation when the vehicle lost control and overturned. The injured victims have been admitted to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital in Gaya for medical treatment.
