Massive Opportunity: Over 13,500 Vacancies Across Cadres
This recruitment campaign stands as one of the most significant undertaken by the state police force in recent history, aiming to fill a substantial 13,591 vacancies. The available positions span a wide range of roles, offering diverse career paths within the state's law enforcement apparatus.
The breakdown of posts is as follows: 858 vacancies are for Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) and Jailer positions, which are considered higher supervisory roles. The bulk of the recruitment, comprising 12,733 posts, is for personnel in frontline and support duties. These include Lokrakshaks, Constables (both unarmed and armed), State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) Constables, and Jail Sepoys.
Eligibility, Fees, and Step-by-Step Application Guide
Candidates must carefully note the distinct eligibility criteria set for different posts. For the prestigious PSI and Jailer roles, applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree and be aged between 21 and 35 years. For positions like Lokrakshak, Constable, and Jail Sepoy, the minimum educational qualification is passing Class 12 (HSC), with an age limit of 18 to 33 years.
All candidates must also satisfy specific physical standards related to height, chest (for males), and weight. The government provides age relaxation for candidates from SC, ST, OBC, and other eligible categories as per prevailing norms.
The application fee is nominal. General category candidates need to pay ₹100, while applicants from SC, ST, Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC) categories, all women candidates, and ex-servicemen are exempted from paying any fee.
To apply, candidates must visit the official Online Job Application System (OJAS) Gujarat portal.
