Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday called upon youngsters to leverage government schemes, acquire skills, and transform themselves into job providers rather than job seekers. He made these remarks while inaugurating an Antyodaya Mela organized by the district administration under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana at IGN College, Ladwa, in Kurukshetra.
Antyodaya Melas: A Platform for Last-Mile Delivery
Saini said that governance is not merely about processing files in government offices but involves understanding people's difficulties, simplifying solutions, and ensuring these solutions reach the doorstep of the needy. Through Antyodaya Melas, the government has reached out to poor and needy families who had long been waiting for their rights and opportunities, he added.
According to the Chief Minister, 166 Antyodaya Melas have been organized across Haryana so far, with 4,24,278 families invited to participate. Of these, 1,88,792 families attended, 1,52,157 families were referred to concerned departments for further assistance, and 55,422 eligible beneficiaries have already received livelihood-related benefits. The fairs will be held across all 90 Assembly constituencies in a phased manner.
Role of Parivar Pehchan Patra in Streamlining Benefits
Saini emphasized that the objective of the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana is not just to provide financial assistance but to connect every deserving family with sustainable livelihood opportunities. He noted that all government schemes and services have been integrated with the Parivar Pehchan Patra, resulting in the automatic generation of nearly 40 lakh below poverty line (BPL) cards from home, without requiring beneficiaries to visit government offices.
CM's Call to Youth: From Job Seekers to Job Providers
The Chief Minister urged youngsters to take advantage of these schemes to learn skills and become job providers. He stated, "The double-engine government is translating this vision of 'antyodaya' into reality. Our resolve is clear that no poor person is left behind, no needy citizen is deprived of opportunities and no family is prevented from progressing merely because it lacks resources, connections or access to the right information."
The Antyodaya Mela, Saini said, is a living embodiment of the government's resolve that every scheme, resource and effort should benefit the last person standing in the queue. He reiterated that the government aims to connect every eligible beneficiary in the state with sustainable livelihood opportunities through different government schemes.
