Haryana Cong chief accuses CM Saini of focusing on Punjab politics over state issues
Haryana Cong chief slams CM Saini over Punjab focus

Chandigarh: Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee president Rao Narendra Singh on Monday accused Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini of paying more attention to politics in Punjab than addressing pressing issues facing Haryana.

Rao said the people of Haryana wanted to know why the chief minister's focus was repeatedly shifting to Punjab while problems concerning farmers, youth, employees, traders and common citizens in the state remained unresolved.

He said unemployment, inflation, law and order, farmers' concerns and several developmental issues continued to demand urgent attention, but the state government had failed to provide satisfactory solutions. In such a situation, the chief minister's increasing involvement in the politics of a neighbouring state raises questions about his priorities, he added.

Congress Leader Alleges BJP Government's Failure

The Congress leader alleged that the BJP government in Haryana has failed to win public confidence on the basis of its performance and achievements. According to him, this is the reason the chief minister was now concentrating on strengthening the BJP organisation in Punjab and seeking political space there.

Rao said Punjab's social and political ethos had traditionally been based on brotherhood, harmony and the spirit of Punjabiyat, where divisive politics had never found acceptance.

He asserted the chief minister was elected to work for Haryana's development and address the concerns of its people and should fulfil those responsibilities first.

Congress Vows to Hold Government Accountable

The Congress leader said the party would continue to raise issues of public interest and hold the BJP government accountable for what he termed anti-people policies and administrative failures.
