Haryana Minister Reassures Public on LPG Availability
In a recent statement, Rajesh Nagar, the Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs in Haryana, has emphatically declared that there is no shortage of domestic LPG in the state. Speaking on Wednesday, Nagar highlighted that the supply chains for petrol, diesel, and liquefied petroleum gas are operating seamlessly, ensuring uninterrupted access for consumers across Haryana.
Current Stock Levels and Distribution Data
According to official reports, the total stock of LPG cylinders at bottling plants throughout Haryana currently stands at an impressive 11,39,787 cylinders. This substantial inventory is designed to meet the demands of households and businesses without any disruptions.
Nagar provided detailed figures to support his claims, noting that over the past five days, oil marketing companies have supplied a total of 2,26,162 domestic gas cylinders, each weighing 14.2 kg. Additionally, for commercial use, 1,422 cylinders of 19 kg each have been distributed over the last 30 days. The minister also revealed that the stock of commercial LPG cylinders at state bottling plants is 190,088 cylinders, further bolstering the supply chain.
Role of Major Oil Companies
The minister emphasized that key players in the oil industry, including Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd, and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd, are maintaining sufficient reserves. These companies are actively working to ensure a smooth and consistent supply of LPG across Haryana, addressing any potential concerns about availability.
Nagar's announcement aims to alleviate public anxiety and reinforce confidence in the state's energy infrastructure. By providing transparent data on stock levels and distribution, the government seeks to demonstrate its commitment to stable fuel supplies for all residents.
