Hooda slams BJP govt in Haryana over crime, inflation, jobs

Chandigarh: Leader of Opposition and former chief minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda on Friday alleged that Haryana was being run by a 'govt of crime, inflation, unemployment, paper leaks and scams' under the BJP regime. Addressing mediapersons in Chandigarh, Hooda accused the Centre of burdening the common man through rising petrol and diesel prices immediately after elections in several states concluded.

Inflation and farmer distress

'Inflation is continuously increasing while farmers are not getting adequate MSP despite rising costs of fertilisers, seeds and diesel,' he said. Hooda also alleged irregularities in crop procurement and bank scams, claiming that 'big people' were being protected by the government.

Unemployment and law and order concerns

Raising concerns over unemployment and law and order, Hooda cited NCRB data and said an average of nine people were committing suicide daily in Haryana due to despair and lack of jobs. He further accused the BJP of giving jobs in Haryana to outsiders, while local youth were forced to seek employment elsewhere.
