HSSC Adopts Aadhaar Biometrics & German Tech for Transparent Physical Tests
HSSC Uses Aadhaar Biometrics & German Tech for PMT

HSSC Revolutionizes Physical Measurement Test with Aadhaar Biometrics and Advanced Technology

In a significant move towards modernizing recruitment processes, the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has announced the implementation of Aadhaar-based biometric verification for its upcoming Physical Measurement Test (PMT). Bhupender Chauhan, a member of the commission, emphasized that this initiative aims to enhance transparency and efficiency, ensuring a fair and equal opportunity for all candidates.

Candidates Must Unlock Aadhaar Biometrics in Advance

Chauhan advised all candidates to check and unlock their Aadhaar biometrics well before the test to avoid unnecessary delays. Since mobile phones will not be allowed at the examination centres, any locked biometrics could hinder the verification process. He recommended using the biometric lock/unlock feature on the official UIDAI website to ensure smooth and timely completion of verification.

German Sensor Machines Ensure Accurate Measurements

To further bolster the integrity of the PMT, HSSC has procured special sensor-based advanced machines from Germany for measuring height and chest. These state-of-the-art devices are equipped with high-precision sensors that eliminate human error, providing complete accuracy in measurements. If a candidate's measurements do not meet the prescribed standards, the machine will immediately indicate the discrepancy, thereby maintaining the credibility of the entire selection process.

RFID Technology Enhances Transparency and Monitoring

In addition to biometric verification and advanced measuring tools, the commission has integrated RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) technology into the examination process. This system will maintain accurate records of each candidate's activities and presence at various stages within the examination centre. Chauhan highlighted that this technology will not only expedite the process but also strengthen monitoring at every stage, ensuring a transparent and time-bound selection procedure.

Key Dates and Guidelines for Candidates

According to sources, the Physical Measurement Test for various posts across departments is scheduled to commence from April 20, 2026, at 6:30 am. Details of shortlisted candidates, along with the date, time, and download link for admit cards, will be available on the commission's official website on April 17, 2026. Candidates are urged to:

  • Regularly visit the HSSC website for updates.
  • Report to the examination centre well in time with all necessary documents.
  • Follow the prescribed guidelines to appear with full preparation and confidence.

Chauhan reiterated that the commission's objective is to make the entire selection process transparent, candidate-friendly, and technologically driven, setting a new standard for recruitment in Haryana.
