A minor fire incident occurred in a residential building located at Red Hills in the Nampally area of Hyderabad on Monday morning, resulting in the evacuation of 23 residents from the premises. The fire broke out at Sameena Manzil, a ground-plus-three structure that also features a penthouse.
Origin and Cause of the Fire
The blaze originated in the drawing room of a third-floor flat within the building. Preliminary investigations by fire officials point to an electrical issue as the likely cause. According to T Venkanna, the district fire officer of Hyderabad, the fire is suspected to have been triggered by a short circuit in the air-conditioning system of the affected flat.
"At the time of the incident, several residents were inside the premises. All occupants were safely shifted to the ground floor. We suspect a short circuit in the air-conditioning system led to the fire," stated Venkanna, highlighting the swift response that ensured no injuries were reported.
Emergency Response and Safety Measures
Firefighters and emergency personnel arrived promptly at the scene to manage the situation. The evacuation process was carried out efficiently, with all 23 residents being moved to safety on the ground floor without any casualties.
