Major Police Reshuffle in Hyderabad Affects 20 Officers
The Telangana state government executed a significant reshuffle of police personnel on Saturday. This move impacted twenty officers in total. Among them, fifteen were Indian Police Service officers. Most held the rank of superintendent of police.
Traffic Wings Get a Boost After Commissionerate Reorganization
The reorganization of the tri-commissionerates led to a direct strengthening of traffic operations. Authorities have now reinforced the traffic wings in all four commissionerates. This aims to improve law enforcement and public safety on Hyderabad's roads.
According to the official transfer order, several key appointments took place. Joint Commissioner of Police for Traffic, Gajarao Bhupal, received a new posting. He will now serve as the Inspector General of Police for provisioning and logistics.
Notable Transfers and Promotions Announced
Abhishek Mohanty, a 2011-batch officer, currently held the position of Deputy Inspector General of Police in EAGLE. The government transferred him. His new role is Deputy Inspector General of Police for vigilance and enforcement.
Counter Intelligence Superintendent of Police R Bhaskaran earned a promotion. He moved up to the DIG rank. The department retained him within the CI cell.
Superintendent of Police for railways, Chandana Deepthi, also received transfer orders. Her new assignment is Additional Commissioner of Police for administration and traffic. She will serve in the Future City commissionerate.

T Annapurna previously worked as Superintendent of Police for vigilance and enforcement. She has been transferred. Her new posting is Deputy Commissioner of Police for administration in the Cyberabad police force.
BK Rahul Hegde served as DCP for traffic. He has been moved to a restructured zone. Hegde will now act as DCP for traffic-III. This zone covers the Charminar, Rajendranagar, and Shamshabad areas.
Hyderabad's DCP for the special branch, K Apoorva Rao, has been transferred. Rao is now the Superintendent of Police for Intelligence in Hyderabad.

The reorganization of commissionerates led to the abolition of the East Zone in Hyderabad police. DCP B Bala Swamy, who was awaiting a posting from that zone, has been transferred. Swamy is now the Superintendent of Police for Vigilance and Enforcement.
R Venkateshwarlu, the former DCP for traffic-III, has been transferred. He takes up the role of Superintendent of Police in the CID. Venkateshwarlu has a history with the city's traffic division before his CID service. This latest change marks his return to the CID.
Officers Return from Leave, Assume New Traffic Roles
DCP S Chaitanya Kumar served in the South-East zone. He had been on leave for nearly two months due to health reasons. Kumar has now been transferred. His new position is DCP for crimes in the Hyderabad commissionerate. During his earlier tenure as DCP for South-East, Kumar was involved in an incident where police opened fire at two property offenders.
Avinash Kumar worked as Additional Superintendent of Police for Operations in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district. He has been transferred to Hyderabad. Kumar is now the DCP for traffic-I. His new jurisdiction covers the Khairatabad and Secunderabad areas.
Additional SP Kajal, previously posted in Utnoor, has been transferred. Kajal is now the DCP for traffic-II in Hyderabad City. This role includes overseeing the Golconda and Jubilee Hills zones.

S Sheshadrini Reddy held the position of Additional SP for administration in Jagtial. Reddy has been transferred to the Cyberabad commissionerate. The new role is DCP for traffic-II, which includes the Kukatpally and Qutubullapur areas.
K Rahul Reddy served as Additional SP in Bhongir. He has been transferred. Reddy is now the DCP for traffic-I in the Malkajgiri Zone.
Shivam Upadhyaya worked as Additional SP for operations in Mulugu. Upadhyaya has been transferred. His new posting is DCP for traffic in the Future City commissionerate.
Final Round of Traffic Posting Changes
Sreenivasulu previously held the position of DCP for traffic-II in Rachakonda. He has been transferred. Sreenivasulu is now the DCP for traffic-II in Malkajgiri.
J Ranjan Rathan Kumar served as DCP for traffic in Medchal. Kumar has been posted as DCP for traffic-I.
Additional SP A Balakoti, from vigilance and enforcement, has received new instructions. Balakoti has been directed to report to the office of the Director General of Police.
