According to Assistant Excise Commissioner Abhishek Tiwari, the department received a crucial tip-off regarding a suspect carrying liquor in a suitcase. The individual was reportedly waiting for a Gujarat-bound bus on Lasudia Mori Road in Indore. Acting swiftly on the information, an excise team arrived at the location and apprehended the person.

Recovery of 20 Bottles of Foreign Liquor

During a thorough search of the suitcase, the team discovered and recovered 20 bottles of foreign liquor. The suspect was identified as Jai Kutak, a resident of Morbi in Gujarat. This seizure underscores the persistent attempts to illegally transport alcohol across state lines, exploiting regulatory differences.

A case has been registered against the accused under section Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915.
