Jagir Kaur opposes SAD coordination committee's alliance decisions

Amritsar: Shiromani Akali Dal (Punar Surjeet) women's wing president Jagir Kaur on Tuesday objected to certain decisions taken regarding alliances by the party's 'talmel committee' (coordination committee).

Kaur's objections to committee's actions

Addressing mediapersons in Amritsar, Kaur said the committee was supposed to submit its report to the party's core committee, but an alliance was announced before any common agenda or final conclusion was reached. She alleged that the alliance was later broken without informing or consulting the coordination committee.

Leadership questions dismissed

Without naming anyone, Kaur said raising questions over the party leadership was unjustified as leadership issues were never discussed during committee meetings. "Our leadership remains the same as it was when the coordination committee was formed," she said.

Conditions for future alliances

Kaur added that the party remained open to alliances provided they were based on the interests of the Panth and Punjab rather than personal interests. She also reiterated the party's commitment to unity among Panthic factions.
