Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy and TDP Leader B Tech Ravi Trade Allegations

In a dramatic turn of events on Tuesday, Kadapa YSRCP MP YS Avinash Reddy and former TDP MLC Mareddy Ravindra Reddy, popularly known as B Tech Ravi, exchanged explosive accusations during separate party events in Pulivendula.

Avinash Reddy's Allegations

Addressing a YSRCP workers meeting, Avinash Reddy claimed that B Tech Ravi had approached former YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy in New Delhi when the YSRCP was in power. He alleged that B Tech Ravi offered to trade his MLC seat for Rs 12 crore and expressed willingness to join the YSRCP. However, according to Avinash Reddy, then Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy rejected the proposal outright.

"This is B Tech Ravi's character. If the YSRCP returns to power, he would repeat the same stunt," Avinash Reddy asserted.

B Tech Ravi's Rebuttal

Responding at a press conference in Pulivendula, B Tech Ravi vehemently denied the allegations, stating, "I am not for sale." He claimed that the YSRCP had attempted to lure TDP MLCs by offering to stall the Amaravati bill. Upon learning of these overtures, he informed his party president, who instructed him to continue the dialogue to identify other involved individuals.

"While some leaders like Pothula Sunitha extended support to YSRCP, I voted in favour of the Amaravati bill," B Tech Ravi clarified.

Counter Allegations

B Tech Ravi levelled two fresh allegations against Avinash Reddy. First, he claimed that in 2014, Avinash Reddy, his father YS Bhaskar Reddy, Devireddy Sivashankar Reddy, and Danthuluri Krishna offered him the Kasunuru MPTC seat unanimously on a TDP ticket without a contest. "I dare Avinash Reddy to explain why they offered me the seat," he challenged.

Second, B Tech Ravi alleged that during the 2017 MLC elections, Avinash Reddy and his group, desperate for YS Vivekananda Reddy's defeat, provided critical information about disgruntled leaders, enabling him to poach YSRCP members and secure victory.

Vivekananda Reddy Murder Case

Shifting focus to the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case, B Tech Ravi claimed that when he and C Adinarayana Reddy petitioned the court for a CBI inquiry, Avinash Reddy's men approached him with a blank cheque to withdraw the petitions. "Since we did not budge, the case went to the CBI, and now both Avinash Reddy and his father are accused," he alleged.

The war of words has intensified political tensions in the region, with both leaders standing by their statements.
