In a decisive move to protect public property, the Kanpur administration, under the directives of Joint Magistrate and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sadar Anubhav Singh, successfully freed approximately 0.28 hectares of gram sabha land from illegal encroachers in Ishwariganj village on Thursday. The operation involved the demolition of an unauthorized boundary wall that had been constructed on the land.

Complaint and Investigation Lead to Swift Action

The administration received a formal complaint alleging that certain individuals had encroached upon gram sabha land, specifically identified by Gata number 138 in Ishwariganj village, and had erected a permanent cemented boundary wall. SDM Sadar Anubhav Singh promptly directed the revenue team to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.

After the investigation confirmed the validity of the complaint, clear directives were issued to reclaim the land. In response, the revenue department team, accompanied by a police force, arrived at the village site. Using a JCB machine, they proceeded to demolish the illegally constructed wall, ensuring the land was restored to its rightful status as per official records.
