Delhi Visit for Final Nod
The visit comes amid growing speculation that the expansion will conclude within the week. Shivakumar is expected to meet senior Congress leaders, including party president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, to present the proposed list of ministers. The government has been operating with a reduced cabinet since the previous expansion, and several districts and communities have been demanding adequate representation.
According to sources within the Karnataka Congress, the chief minister has prepared a shortlist of candidates after extensive consultations with district leaders and community representatives. The final list is expected to balance the aspirations of various caste groups, especially from the Vokkaliga and Lingayat communities, as well as ensuring adequate representation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes.
