Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday said that a truly patriotic person will avoid making cheap remarks on the fuel price hike. Addressing a gathering in Hisar, Khattar said that the opposition is indulging in negative politics over the issue.
Khattar's Remarks on Fuel Price Hike
Khattar stated that the central government is committed to providing relief to the common man. He said that the increase in fuel prices is due to global factors and the government is taking steps to minimize the impact. The Chief Minister urged the people to understand the situation and not fall for the opposition's propaganda.
Criticism of Opposition
Khattar lashed out at the opposition parties for their statements on the fuel price hike. He said that they are only interested in scoring political points and not in the welfare of the people. He emphasized that the state government has kept the Value Added Tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel at a minimum level.
Development Works in Hisar
During the event, Khattar also highlighted the development works undertaken by his government in Hisar. He said that the district has seen significant progress in infrastructure, education, and healthcare. He assured that the government will continue to work for the betterment of the people.
The Chief Minister also appealed to the youth to stay away from drugs and contribute to the nation's development. He said that the government is running several schemes to provide employment opportunities to the youth.
