Lucknow Administration Grants Conditional Approval for Three-Day Gau Pratishtha Event
The Lucknow district administration has officially granted conditional permission for the three-day 'Gau Pratishtha Janjagran Abhiyan' led by Swami Avimukteshwaranand. The event is scheduled to commence on March 11, following a period of uncertainty regarding its approval.
Stringent Conditions Imposed on Organizers
According to official sources, the permission has been granted with a comprehensive set of 26 specific conditions. Any violation of these conditions could result in the immediate cancellation of the permission, authorities have warned.
Key among these conditions is a strict prohibition against any speech or statement that incites sentiments against any religion, caste, community, or language. Organizers have been explicitly directed to ensure that no controversial or provocative remarks are made against any political or religious figure throughout the duration of the program.
Venue and Security Arrangements
The event will be held at the Kanshi Ram Smriti Cultural Site, located near the Bijli Pasi Kila Crossing in the Aashiana area of Lucknow. In anticipation of the gathering, the local police administration has implemented significant security measures.
Police forces from the Aashiana, SGPGI, and Krishna Nagar police stations have been placed on high alert as a precautionary measure. Heavy security deployment will be maintained at the venue throughout the entire three-day event to ensure law and order.
Background and Approval Process
Joint Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) Babloo Kumar and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Vikrant Vir confirmed that the conditional permission had been formally granted. This approval comes after earlier reports suggested that permission for the March 11 event had not been secured.
Officials from the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) had previously indicated that the organizing body was required to submit no-objection certificates (NOCs) from multiple departments through the memorial committee. There were concerns that these essential documents were not submitted within the stipulated timeframe, which created uncertainty over the event's approval.
As part of the final arrangements, sources confirmed that the organizers have deposited a fee of Rs 4.5 lakh with the memorial committee, as prescribed for the three-day program.
