The second tragedy involved Nidhi Kumari, aged 24, daughter of Ramchandra Yadav from Larha village under Singheshwar police station jurisdiction. She had been diligently preparing for various competitive examinations while residing in a rented room at a private lodge located in ward number three of the Anand Vihar area. According to preliminary reports, Nidhi was staying alone at the time of the incident as her roommate, Pratibha Kumari, had traveled to their native village two days prior.
Discovery of the Body and Immediate Response
The sequence of events leading to the discovery paints a troubling picture. Ashish Kumar, the victim's nephew who is also a student in Madhepura, grew increasingly concerned when Nidhi failed to answer repeated phone calls throughout the day. His apprehension led him to rush to the private lodge where he found her room securely bolted from the inside. After managing to open the door, he discovered Nidhi lying unconscious on the floor.
With immediate assistance from others present at the scene, Ashish Kumar transported her to Jannayak Karpoori Thakur Medical College and Hospital. Tragically, attending doctors declared her brought dead upon arrival, deepening the mystery surrounding her sudden demise.

Shio Shankar Bharti, the owner of the private lodge, revealed that he had rented out the ground floor of his three-storey building exclusively to ten female students. He stated that he arrived at the premises only after being informed by another inmate student, Archana Kumari, about the distressing situation. Meanwhile, Singheshwar and Madhepura police, under the leadership of Madhepura Sub-Divisional Police Officer Pravendra Bharti, have initiated thorough investigations into both cases.

This latest incident compounds the existing sorrow from Monday evening when Khushbu Kumari, a BTech student at B P Mandal Engineering College, was found hanging inside her hostel room. The circumstances reveal that Khushbu was alone in her room at the time as both her roommates had left to attend classes.
When her roommates returned and received no response from inside, hostel officials were summoned. They subsequently broke open the door to discover Khushbu hanging from the ventilator grille. The postmortem examination was conducted late at night after her parents arrived at the medical facility.
