Ujjain: The body of a 40-year-old man was discovered inside a makeshift hut in Sarvana village, under Unhel police station limits in Ujjain, on Saturday morning. The village watchman alerted the police after finding the blood-soaked body.
Details of the Incident
The deceased has been identified as Ratanlal. He was found dead on a cot, with severe head injuries. Unhel station in-charge Santosh Chouhan stated that the victim was struck on the head with a stick. Empty liquor bottles were recovered from the hut, indicating that alcohol had been consumed at the scene.
Witness Accounts and Suspicions
Locals informed the police that Ratanlal had been consuming liquor with his brother, Gokul, the previous night. Following the incident, Gokul has been on the run. The police have registered a case of murder and suspect a property dispute as the motive behind the killing.
