Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday accused the central government and opposition parties of conspiring to malign the image of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ahead of the upcoming elections. Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh, Mann said that the Centre and opposition are threatened by AAP's growing popularity and are resorting to baseless allegations to undermine the party's credibility.
Conspiracy Against AAP
Mann asserted that the central government, in collusion with opposition parties, is attempting to create a negative narrative about AAP's governance in Punjab. He claimed that these forces are using central agencies to target AAP leaders and spread misinformation. 'They are afraid of our development work and the support we have received from the people,' Mann said.
Development Works Ignored
The Chief Minister highlighted the achievements of his government, including improvements in education, healthcare, and infrastructure. He criticized the opposition for ignoring these developments and focusing on baseless attacks. 'Instead of appreciating our work, they are busy spreading lies,' he added.
Mann also called on the people of Punjab to remain vigilant and not fall for the 'propaganda' being spread by the opposition. He expressed confidence that the public would see through the conspiracy and continue to support AAP.
