The Telangana government is in a final sprint to complete grand arrangements for the prestigious Telangana Rising 2047 Global Summit, scheduled for December 8 and 9. The event, set to be held at the sprawling Bharat Future City near Meerkhanpet in Hyderabad, will see the participation of around 3,000 guests, including top industrialists and VVIPs.
Round-the-Clock Efforts for a World-Class Venue
With the summit just days away, authorities are working 24/7 in multiple shifts to transform the 120-acre site. Over 1,000 workers are engaged in a wide array of tasks, from constructing halls and tents to landscaping, electrification, and beautification. The scale and design of the venue, including its halls, draw inspiration from the World Economic Forum in Davos, aiming for impeccable organization.
A dedicated war room has been established to monitor progress, ensuring all preparations are finalized by December 5. This will be followed by a crucial two-day dry run to test all systems. To manage this colossal task, the government has drafted 200 to 250 officers from various departments like revenue, municipal administration, TGIIC, TSSPDCL, police, industries, horticulture, and HMDA.
Inside the Massive Summit Layout
Of the total 120 acres, 70 acres have been allocated for the main venue and event spaces, with the remaining 50 acres reserved for parking and other amenities. The heart of the event is a 3,200 square metre main hall, capable of seating all 3,000 guests for the inaugural session.
The venue is meticulously segmented into functional blocks:
- An expo area of 3,200 sq metres for departmental stalls.
- A spacious 1,350 sq metre CM and VVIP lounge for high-level discussions and MoU signings.
- Three separate halls, each 900 sq metres, for breakout sessions and expert deliberations.
- Lawns behind the main hall are being prepared for cultural programs.
Unique features include an experiential tunnel at the entrance to guide guests into the main hall and specialized infrastructure like a drone hangar, watchtower, and control rooms for security and firefighting.
Security and Logistical Overdrive
Given the high-profile guest list, security is paramount. The police have already taken charge of the venue, setting up a dedicated police control room, a police 'pagoda,' and a firefighting 'pagoda.' A private event and entertainment agency has also been roped in to handle specific arrangements, ensuring a seamless experience for all delegates.
K Shashanka, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of TGIIC and Commissioner of Future City Development Authority, confirmed that various government departments have been assigned specific tasks, with coordination being managed from the central war room. The state aims to showcase its potential and foster investment through this globally-inspired summit, putting Hyderabad firmly on the map for major international events.
