With the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections approaching, BSP chief Mayawati has intensified the party's preparations through a high-level strategy meeting in Lucknow. The meeting focused on strengthening the BSP organisation at the booth level, expanding support across communities, reviewing candidate selection, and improving election preparedness across the state.
Mayawati's Directives to Party Workers
Mayawati directed party workers to work aggressively on the ground and claimed that public support for the BSP is steadily increasing in Uttar Pradesh. She expressed confidence that the BSP could return to power for the fifth time and said the party was identifying strong and winnable candidates for the upcoming elections.
Attack on Rival Governments
During the meeting, the BSP supremo also attacked the Centre and rival state governments over economic stress, law and order concerns, and policies allegedly favouring big industrialists. Calling herself the "Iron Lady" once again, Mayawati urged voters to trust the BSP for restoring governance, social harmony, and development in the state ahead of the crucial 2027 political battle.
The BSP chief's strategy session underscores the party's determination to regain power in Uttar Pradesh, where it has previously governed four times. With the election now less than a year away, the party is ramping up its grassroots efforts and candidate selection process to maximise its chances.
