In a significant push for industrial growth and job creation, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced the launch of major projects worth a staggering Rs 2 lakh crore. The initiative coincides with the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, marking a tribute through development.
A Mega Push for Employment and Industrialisation
The Chief Minister, in a video message to the state's citizens, emphasized that these projects are designed to benefit all sections of society. He specifically highlighted unemployed youth, women, farmers, and the economically disadvantaged as the primary beneficiaries. This massive investment drive is part of the state government's declared 'Year of Industrialisation and Employment' for 2025.
The formal 'bhoomi pujan' (ground-breaking ceremony) and dedication of these projects will take place in Gwalior. The event will be graced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, underlining the project's national importance. This marks the first time in India that industrial projects of such a colossal scale, worth Rs 2 lakh crore, are being launched at once in a single state.
Concerted Efforts Attracting Massive Investment
CM Yadav detailed the state government's proactive efforts to attract capital. A dedicated campaign was launched both within India and abroad to invite industrialists to invest in Madhya Pradesh. "We solicited the industrialists to invest in MP so that people of MP get jobs and their life prospers," the Chief Minister stated.
He revealed that these concerted efforts are already yielding tangible results on the ground. According to the CM, work on projects with a total worth exceeding Rs 8.5 lakh crore has already commenced. Furthermore, projects valued at over Rs 6.5 lakh crore are currently under implementation. In several of these ventures, construction is actively in progress, and in some cases, production has even begun.
