Mysuru District Minister HC Mahadevappa has strongly defended the recent installation of traffic signal lights at various junctions across the city, asserting that the placements are based on rigorous scientific assessment and forward-looking urban planning requirements. Minister Mahadevappa emphasized that the traffic signals have been strategically installed with Mysuru's anticipated future expansion in mind. "These signals are installed keeping in mind the future growth of Mysuru. After their installation, traffic issues have come down," he stated confidently. "In some places, the two-minute signal duration will be reduced based on public demand," he noted, demonstrating responsiveness to citizen feedback. Minister Mahadevappa revealed that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has also provided assurances regarding the traffic signal installations.
