The murder case was registered at the Tehsil police station. The court noted that Fahim Khan was arrested on May 1, more than a year after the incident, and no incriminating evidence was recovered from him. Several co-accused individuals have already been granted bail in the same case.

Bail Conditions

Khan has been released on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 with one solvent surety. The court imposed strict conditions, including that he must report regularly to the police station and refrain from tampering with witnesses. The court also stated that the investigation in the case will continue.

This development comes as part of the legal proceedings stemming from the Mahal riots, which saw clashes between two groups in Nagpur. The additional sessions court's decision highlights the principle that bail is the rule and jail is the exception, especially when the accused does not have a direct role in the alleged offense.
