Nagpur Painter Dies Instantly in Tragic Truck-Motorcycle Collision
A 50-year-old painter, identified as Dharamchand Shiva, died on the spot after a speeding truck rammed his motorcycle at Shafi Nagar Chowk in Nagpur on Thursday afternoon. The fatal incident occurred around 12:30 PM when Shiva was heading to work, and the truck allegedly hit him with significant force.
Victim Rushed to Hospital but Declared Dead
Shiva suffered severe injuries in the collision and was immediately rushed to Mayo Hospital for emergency medical attention. Despite efforts by medical staff, doctors at the hospital declared him dead upon arrival, confirming the tragic outcome of the accident.
Police Investigation and Case Registration
The victim's wife, Neetu (36), a resident of Ekatmata Nagar, lodged a formal complaint at the Mankapur police station following the incident. Based on her complaint, police have registered a case against the truck driver, identified as Yogesh Pandey (33), under Sections 106(1) and 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
PSI Nitin Waghule is leading the investigation into the matter, examining the circumstances surrounding the collision and gathering evidence to determine liability and potential charges.
