Nitish Kumar Announces Weekly Public Meetings for Bihar Officials

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar declared on Saturday that his government's primary goal is to ensure respect for all people and simplify their daily lives. He issued clear instructions to all state government officers. They must meet the public respectfully every Monday and Friday each week. Officials are required to listen attentively to citizens' problems and work towards resolving them promptly.

Review Meeting During Samriddhi Yatra in Motihari

Nitish Kumar made these remarks while chairing a review meeting on developmental and welfare schemes for East Champaran district. The meeting took place at Gandhi Maidan in Motihari as part of his ongoing Samriddhi Yatra. Saturday marked the second day of this significant tour.

During a program at the Women's Government Industrial Training Institute Complex in Motihari, the Chief Minister remotely unveiled a commemorative plaque. He also laid the foundation stone for forty new schemes valued at thirty-four crore rupees. Additionally, he inaugurated thirty other schemes in the district with a total worth of one hundred thirty-eight crore rupees.

Focus on Efficient Implementation of Key Programs

In the review meeting, Nitish Kumar directed concerned officials to accelerate the implementation of schemes approved under the Pragati Yatra. He emphasized the need for efficient execution of programs under Saat Nishchay-2. The Chief Minister also instructed officials to commence work properly on projects identified under Saat Nishchay-3.

"You all know that just a few days after forming the new government on November twentieth last year, we implemented the Saat Nishchay-3 programs," Nitish Kumar stated. "These initiatives aim to position Bihar among the most developed states in the country. The main objective of the seventh resolution, 'Sabka Samman-Jeevan Aasan' or Ease of Living, is to reduce daily difficulties for all citizens and make their lives easier. We are continuously working in this direction."

New System for Citizen-Official Interaction

The Chief Minister specified that every Monday and Friday, citizens should have access to meet concerned officials at their designated workplaces. This applies across various levels including Gram Panchayats, police stations, blocks, subdivisions, districts, divisions, and all government offices.

"Ensure arrangements for necessary facilities such as drinking water, toilets, and respectful seating for visitors in all government offices," Nitish Kumar added. He announced that this new system should take effect effectively from January nineteenth.

District Administration Presents Progress Report

During the meeting, East Champaran District Magistrate Saurabh Jorwal provided a detailed presentation to the Chief Minister. He covered the implementation status of schemes under Pragati Yatra, Saat Nishchay-2, and Saat Nishchay-3. Jorwal also updated Nitish Kumar on other ongoing development works within the district, highlighting progress and challenges.

The Chief Minister's directives underscore a renewed focus on governance accessibility and public service efficiency in Bihar. This initiative represents a concrete step toward realizing the government's commitment to respectful citizen engagement and improved livelihood conditions across the state.
