AIADMK's Palaniswami Accuses Stalin of Targeting BJP to Hide DMK's Weaknesses
Palaniswami: Stalin Criticizes BJP as DMK Loses Support

AIADMK Leader Accuses CM Stalin of Diverting Attention from DMK's Failures

In a fiery election campaign speech at Krishnagiri, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami launched a scathing attack on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, alleging that his criticism of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is a desperate tactic to mask the ruling DMK's inability to find fault with the AIADMK. Palaniswami asserted that the people of Tamil Nadu have seen through these political maneuvers and are poised to deliver a decisive defeat to the DMK in the upcoming Assembly election.

Stalin Writing DMK's Final Chapter, Says Palaniswami

"Stalin is writing the final chapter of DMK," declared Palaniswami, emphasizing that the chief minister's focus on the BJP stems from a recognition that the AIADMK is gaining momentum. "Unable to find fault with us, Stalin is criticizing BJP. He knows AIADMK will win as DMK has lost people's support," he stated, highlighting a perceived shift in public sentiment away from the ruling party.

Palaniswami firmly countered the DMK's campaign narratives, clarifying that "AIADMK is not a slave to BJP or anyone," a direct rebuttal to allegations of the party being subservient to the national BJP. He positioned the AIADMK as an independent force committed to Tamil Nadu's interests.

Allegations of Election Gimmicks and Corruption

The AIADMK leader accused Stalin of resorting to last-minute populist measures in fear of an impending electoral loss. He criticized the distribution of what he termed "poor quality" laptops to students and the hurried laying of foundation stones for various schemes without proper fund allocation or detailed project reports. "He is in a rush to lay foundation stones for several schemes without allocating funds or preparing detailed project reports," Palaniswami said, warning that the electorate would not be deceived by such tactics.

Further intensifying his attack, Palaniswami referenced an audio clip circulating on social media to allege that the DMK is entrenched in corruption, alluding to the historical 2G spectrum case. "DMK is rooted in corruption. DMK cannot deceive the people with its false propaganda and poll promises any more," he asserted, painting the party as untrustworthy and scandal-ridden.

Internal DMK Dynamics Questioned

In a pointed remark, Palaniswami also touched upon internal discord within the DMK, claiming that Chief Minister Stalin has denied his sister, Kanimozhi, an opportunity to enter state politics by refusing her a ticket to contest in the Assembly election. He questioned the rationale behind this move, suggesting it reflects deeper issues within the party's leadership and decision-making processes.

Overall, Palaniswami's speech framed the upcoming election as a referendum on the DMK's governance, with the AIADMK positioning itself as a viable alternative free from corruption and external influences, ready to reclaim power based on public disillusionment with the current administration.
