Pawan Singh Likely to Get Key BJP Role, MP Tiwari Hints

Patna: Bhojpuri singer-actor-turned-politician Pawan Singh may soon be entrusted with a significant responsibility in the BJP, according to third-term Northeast Delhi MP Manoj Kumar Tiwari, who made the statement on Monday. Pawan has recently been elected to the legislative council.

Ministerial Possibility Hinted

When asked about the possibility of Pawan becoming a minister in Samrat Choudhary’s cabinet, Tiwari told reporters at the Patna airport, “Don’t make me say everything.” He, however, hinted that Pawan might soon be entrusted with a significant responsibility as he is a committed party worker who delivers whatever is asked of him.

Pawan's Role in Lok Sabha Elections

Pawan was instrumental in the defeat of RLM chief Upendra Kushwaha in the last Lok Sabha elections from Karakat by contesting as an independent candidate. The BJP had expected to accommodate him in the Rajya Sabha but later decided to make him an MLC first.

“The position of an MLC is not a minor one. Rather, it is a significant and important responsibility to serve the people of Bihar. Politicians strive for years to become an MLC. Through this position, one can serve the public on a large scale,” Tiwari said about Pawan.

Concern Over Coaching Institute Turf War

Expressing concern over the turf war between two coaching institutes in Patna, MP Tiwari said he was deeply saddened by the entire episode. “The cut-throat competition witnessed among coaching institutes is tarnishing the image of Bihar’s coaching sector. It is fostering a perception of a ‘coaching mafia’ among the public, which is a cause for concern,” he said.
