A significant fire broke out in the Rupinagar area of Talawade, Pune, on Sunday afternoon, resulting in the complete destruction of a scrap godown, a garment shop, and a brand new bus parked nearby. The incident occurred around 2 pm, prompting an immediate response from the Pimpri Chinchwad fire brigade.

Upon receiving the emergency call, the fire brigade deployed as many as seven fire tenders to the scene. The officers worked diligently to control the blaze, which was brought under control within one hour. However, it took additional time to completely cool down the affected areas, ensuring no reignition occurred.
No injuries were reported in the incident, which is a relief given the scale of the fire. The officer from the Pimpri Chinchwad fire brigade stated that the entire godown and the adjacent garment shop were severely damaged by the flames.

In a particularly unfortunate turn of events, a bus parked near the godown was completely destroyed in the fire. The officer revealed that the bus owner had purchased the vehicle merely eight days prior to the incident, making this a devastating personal and financial loss.
