Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Reviews Arrangements for Progressive Punjab Investment Summit
In a significant move to bolster economic growth, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann chaired a high-level meeting on Wednesday to review the comprehensive arrangements for the upcoming Progressive Punjab Investment Summit. This major event is scheduled to take place from March 13 to 15 in Mohali, with the ambitious goal of giving a substantial push to industrial development across the state.
Summit Theme and Global Roadshows
Mann emphasized that the summit will be held under the compelling theme of ‘Punjab Means Business - Policy to Practice’. He highlighted the extensive efforts made by the state government to promote the event, including organizing roadshows in key Indian cities such as Gurugram, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Mumbai. Additionally, international roadshows were conducted in Japan and South Korea to attract global investors.
"This summit will offer a healthy platform to transform the state's destiny by giving a major push to industrial development," Mann stated, underscoring the event's potential to catalyze economic transformation.

The Chief Minister revealed that top industrial giants from across the country and around the globe are expected to attend the summit to firm up their investment commitments. Leading companies, including Tata Steel and Sanatan Textiles, have already expressed keen interest in investing in Punjab.
Apart from exhibitions, seminars, and technical sessions covering various aspects of industry, the summit will place a special focus on emerging technologies and innovative strategies in the industrial sector. "A consensus will be evolved to further chalk out a pro-industry action plan for the overall industrial development in the state after marathon discussions with international industrial giants," Mann explained.

Terming the event a major opportunity for investors, Mann said, "The investors' summit will be a platform to showcase the investment opportunities in the state, offering maximum incentives across the nation." Mann pointed out that the state's mainstay, agriculture, has already reached a plateau, and massive industrialization is the only solution for the rejuvenation of the stagnated economy. "The summit will provide a crucial avenue to attract investments and drive sustainable economic growth," he asserted.
