RLJP Announces Leadership Transition with Prince Raj as National Working President
In a significant organizational reshuffle, Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) chief and former Union minister Pashupati Kumar Paras has appointed former MP Prince Raj as the party's national working president. The announcement was made during a meeting held at the RLJP's state headquarters in Patna on Monday, marking a strategic move towards youth empowerment within the party.
Unanimous Endorsement at Key Party Meeting
The elevation of Prince Raj was declared at a gathering attended by senior national, state, and district functionaries of the RLJP. This included state unit chiefs, national office-bearers, and members of the Bihar executive committee. The decision, proposed by Paras, received unanimous endorsement from all leaders present, underscoring broad support for the leadership change.
Addressing the assembly, Paras emphasized that this step reflects the party's commitment to entrusting greater responsibilities to younger leaders. "Today's politics has entered a new phase. The time has come to hand over the party's command to youths. In line with this, the responsibility has been given to Prince Raj," he stated, highlighting a shift towards generational renewal in political leadership.
Future Plans and Electoral Strategy
Paras further revealed that another meeting of party functionaries is scheduled in two months to formally appoint Prince Raj as the full-time national president. Once this transition is complete, Raj's decisions will be binding on all party members, solidifying his authority within the organization.
Speaking at the event, Prince Raj outlined the RLJP's ambitious electoral strategy. He announced that the party plans to contest seats in the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh, regardless of the electoral outcomes. This move signals the RLJP's intent to expand its political footprint beyond Bihar and establish a presence in key states across India.
The appointment and future promotion of Prince Raj are seen as part of a broader effort to rejuvenate the party's image and appeal to younger voters. By positioning a youth leader at the helm, the RLJP aims to navigate the evolving political landscape and strengthen its organizational structure ahead of crucial electoral battles.
