NTK Leader Seeman Condemns Tamil Nadu's Escalating Crime Wave
In a stark assessment delivered in Trichy, NTK chief coordinator Seeman has raised alarms over the deteriorating law and order situation in Tamil Nadu. He asserted that the safety of citizens, from young children to elderly women, is now severely compromised across the state.
Recent Crime Surge Highlights Systemic Failures
Addressing reporters, Seeman pointed to a disturbing spike in criminal incidents over the past fortnight. "The rise in crime is a clear indicator of moral decline within our society," he emphasized, noting that many offenses, including murders and sexual violence, are linked to alcohol abuse. "Neither a six-year-old child nor a 60-year-old woman is safe in Tamil Nadu today," he lamented, underscoring the vulnerability of all age groups.
Shared Responsibility for Public Safety
Seeman argued that curbing this crime wave requires a collective effort. "The responsibility does not lie solely with the government; society as a whole must step up," he stated. He connected the issue to political accountability, questioning the electorate's role in perpetuating poor governance. "If law and order remain in shambles, people bear the responsibility for electing ineffective governments. This cycle has persisted for six decades, and without change in leadership, how can we expect improvement?" he challenged.
NTK's Vision and Political Strategy
On political alliances, Seeman clarified that no final decisions have been made. Instead, the NTK is focusing on grassroots outreach to communicate its ideology directly to the public. The party's core objectives include:
- Ensuring universal access to quality education and healthcare
- Providing reliable drinking water and robust road infrastructure
- Creating ample employment opportunities for all citizens
Global Call for Peace in Middle East Conflict
Beyond domestic issues, Seeman also addressed international tensions, urging global cooperation to resolve the Iran–Israel conflict. "Wars result in catastrophic loss of life, and concerted efforts are needed to foster peace," he remarked, highlighting the humanitarian impact of such conflicts.
