DK Shivakumar went to the residence of the deceased to personally console the family members. He shared in their profound sorrow and offered assurances of unwavering support from the political party. "The Congress party is fully supportive of the family," he told them, emphasizing the party's commitment to standing by them in their time of immense loss.

Speaking to reporters after the visit, the Deputy Chief Minister expressed his deep anguish over the incident. He described the death of the party worker as "extremely tragic" and stated that such an event should never have occurred. "I feel the pain of Rajashekar's family. I came to let them know that the party will always be there for them," Shivakumar said, highlighting the personal and political dimensions of the loss.
