Karnataka Minister H C Mahadevappa has asserted that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is a source of strength for the Congress party and does not require rallies or road shows to prove his political mettle. Speaking to the media, Mahadevappa emphasised that Siddaramaiah's leadership and governance speak for themselves, making mass campaigns unnecessary for the veteran leader.
Mahadevappa clarified that he did not discuss state politics with the party high command during his recent interactions, noting that the central leadership is already well aware of all developments in Karnataka. He dismissed any speculation about internal discord or the need for a political show of strength, stating that the party remains united under Siddaramaiah's guidance.
No Need for Public Shows
The minister pointed out that Siddaramaiah's track record as a mass leader and his ability to connect with people are well established. 'He doesn't need rallies and road shows to demonstrate his popularity. His work and his image as a leader who stands for the common man are enough,' Mahadevappa said.
High Command Aware of State Situation
When asked about his discussions with the Congress high command, Mahadevappa stated that the party's top brass is fully briefed on Karnataka's political scenario. 'There was no need for me to elaborate on state matters because they already have complete information,' he added.
The remarks come amid ongoing political activities in Karnataka, with opposition parties gearing up for future electoral battles. However, Mahadevappa's comments indicate the Congress camp's confidence in Siddaramaiah's leadership without relying on aggressive campaigning.
