A tragic road accident in Prayagraj claimed the life of a 38-year-old functionary of the Samajwadi Party's Lohiya Vahini late Wednesday night. Three others sustained injuries in the incident, which occurred in the Civil Lines area when their car, reportedly being driven at high speed, crashed into a tree.

According to SHO Ramashraya Yadav of the Civil Lines police station, the group of four individuals, including the deceased SP functionary Ratnesh Yadav, was returning home after dining at a local eatery. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which was moving at a high speed, causing it to collide with a tree.
Impact and Casualties
The force of the collision was immense, completely mangling the front portion of the car. Ratnesh Yadav died on the spot due to the severity of the impact. The other three occupants sustained minor injuries and were promptly administered first aid at a nearby hospital.
