A tragic road accident in Indore claimed the lives of a woman and her two young children on Monday morning. The incident occurred on Dhar Road under the Chandan Nagar police station limits when a speeding tanker collided with their motorcycle. According to authorities, six members of a family were riding on a single motorcycle at the time of the crash.
Details of the Accident
The family was traveling from Aurangpuri to a village in Dewas district to attend a ritual following the recent death of a relative. As they reached in front of Hilink Colony on Dhar Road, a speeding tanker allegedly struck their motorcycle from behind. The impact was so severe that two-year-old Rohan and one-year-old Santoshi died on the spot. Their mother, 28-year-old Anita Deora, succumbed to her injuries inside the ambulance while being transported to the hospital.
Injured and Hospitalization
The other riders, including 30-year-old Ashok Deora, four-year-old Vaishnavi, and another relative Rajesh Bhusariya, sustained severe injuries. Chandan Nagar police station in-charge Tilak Karole confirmed that the injured are currently undergoing medical treatment.
Driver Arrested
Following the accident, the tanker was seized, and its driver, 30-year-old Amit Vaishnav, a resident of Jalore, was arrested. During questioning, the driver told police that he fell asleep at the wheel, lost control of the heavy vehicle, and hit the motorcycle. The police sent the bodies of the two children to the district hospital and the body of the woman to MY Hospital for postmortem examinations. A case has been registered.
