Sukhbir Badal, the president of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), has urged voters in Muktsar town to reject Delhi-based political parties in the upcoming civic polls. Addressing a public meeting, Badal emphasized the importance of choosing local representatives who understand the region's issues.
Focus on Local Development
Badal criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress, accusing them of neglecting Muktsar's development needs. He argued that only the SAD, with its strong roots in Punjab, can effectively address local challenges such as infrastructure, sanitation, and water supply.
Appeal to Voters
“Muktsar has been ignored by parties that focus only on Delhi. We need leaders who live among us and know our problems,” Badal said. He urged residents to vote for SAD candidates who have a proven track record of service.
The civic polls are seen as a crucial test for political parties in the region. Badal’s campaign highlights the SAD’s strategy to regain lost ground by focusing on local issues and criticizing national parties for their alleged indifference.
