A tragic accident occurred in Kolhapur on Wednesday evening when an SUV plunged 40 feet from a bridge, resulting in the death of a 25-year-old man and injuries to three others. The incident took place on the bridge connecting Tawade hotel chowk to Shiroli Jakat Naka, along the road that links Kolhapur city to the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway.

Details of the Accident

According to police reports, four men had visited Tawade hotel chowk for shopping and were returning to the city when the SUV driver lost control of the vehicle. The car then veered off the bridge and fell into the void below. The deceased has been identified as Durgaprasad, also known as Durgesh Uvappa Eti, a 25-year-old resident of Bagalkote in Karnataka. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Injured Victims and Medical Treatment

The three injured individuals are Arjun Chougule, the owner of the vehicle, along with Rohit Mane and Rohit Jondhale. They are currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kolhapur. Their conditions are reported to be stable, but they remain under medical observation.
