Teen Climbs Tower in Garhwa to Demand Marriage

A 15-year-old boy climbed a nearly 100-foot-high mobile tower at Kharondhi market in Jharkhand's Garhwa district on Sunday morning, demanding to marry his girlfriend. The incident drew a large crowd of locals who gathered at the spot and repeatedly tried to persuade the teenager to come down. However, he remained adamant and refused to descend until his demand was met.

Upon receiving information about the situation, police and administrative officers rushed to the area and began efforts to bring the situation under control. After prolonged persuasion by the officers, the boy eventually climbed down, according to police officials.

Kharondhi police station officer in-charge Gulshan Kumar Gautam identified the youth as Aditya Kumar. "We have brought the boy to the police station for interrogation," said the OC, adding that the matter appeared to be linked to an affair.
