Two Teenagers Killed in Dhar as Speeding Trailer Rams Motorcycle
In a tragic road accident, two teenagers lost their lives when a speeding trailer collided with their motorcycle on the Kukshi-Manawar Road near Lohari in Dhar district. The incident occurred on Tuesday night around 8 pm, resulting in both victims being thrown onto the road and pronounced dead at the scene.
Details of the Deceased and Incident
The deceased have been identified as Ravi, aged 17, and Ganpati, aged 18, both residents of Aawali village. According to Dhar SP Mayank Awasthi, the teenagers were employed at Pamela Hotel in Kukshi and were en route to Lohari to attend a friend's birthday party when the fatal crash took place. The trailer driver, after hitting the motorcycle, fled the spot with the vehicle, leaving behind a scene of devastation.
Police Response and Investigation
Upon receiving information, a large number of villagers gathered at the accident site, prompting the Kukshi police to arrive promptly. The bodies were shifted to Kukshi civil hospital for further procedures. Police officials confirmed that the trailer involved in the accident was successfully traced. The vehicle, bearing a Rajasthan registration number, was reportedly empty at the time of the collision, raising questions about the driver's actions and speed.
Aftermath and Legal Proceedings
The deaths were officially recorded, and the bodies underwent a postmortem examination at Kukshi hospital on Wednesday. Following the examination, the remains were handed over to the family members for last rites. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident, focusing on identifying and apprehending the absconding driver to ensure justice for the victims and their grieving families.
