This strategic timing underscores the government's commitment to marking the occasion with a landmark initiative aimed at long-term sports development across the state.
High-Profile Board Meeting and Attendees
The review meeting saw the participation of prominent board members, including Konidela Upasana, Kavya Maran, Sanjiv Goenka, C Shashidhar, Jayesh Ranjan, and sports MD Sony Bala Devi. During the discussions, CM Revanth Reddy emphasized the need for Hyderabad to become a national role model in sports, urging the board to prepare a detailed action plan before the foundation stone ceremony.
World-Class Amenities and Infrastructure Plans

He directed officials to ensure seamless helicopter connectivity, enhancing convenience for international and domestic sports personalities.
The chief minister also stressed the importance of financial sustainability, instructing the board to formulate a comprehensive plan to prevent future financial constraints. An architect has already been appointed for the project, with the board now holding full autonomy over development decisions.
Olympic Aspirations and Competitive Edge

He called for amenities that surpass the sports infrastructure found in China, aiming to set a new global benchmark.
