Telangana RTC Workers Launch Strike After Failed Negotiations
In a major development impacting public transport across Telangana, workers at the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) initiated a strike from midnight on Tuesday. RTC MD Y Nagireddy stated that a special committee comprising IAS officers has already been constituted to examine the workers' demands in detail.
Nagireddy emphasized that some of the demands involve financial and complex matters, requiring at least four weeks for the government to review and provide solutions. He assured workers that the issues would be resolved in a phased and systematic manner, urging patience and cooperation. However, he also expressed concern that certain unions are allegedly misleading workers by disregarding the facts and calling for a strike, which could exacerbate the situation.
