Tragic Waterfall Accident in Andhra Pradesh Claims Lives of Three Teenage Girls
A leisure outing to a scenic waterfall in Mallugummi, located in the ASR district of Andhra Pradesh, ended in profound tragedy on Thursday when three teenage girls drowned and another sustained injuries after they slipped and fell into the water. The deceased have been identified as S Trisha (17), S Ratnakumari (16), and S Pavitra (15), all students from a nearby government school. The injured girl, S Anjali (16), is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital. All four were relatives hailing from Jambuvalasa village in the Hukumpeta mandal of the district.
According to preliminary reports, the tragedy unfolded when Anjali was taking photographs of the other three girls, who were standing on rocks near the edge of the waterfall. In a moment of misfortune, they lost their balance, tumbled into the water, and drowned. Witnessing the horrifying scene, Anjali cried out for help before bravely jumping into the water in an attempt to rescue them. However, she too began to struggle and faced drowning.

Passersby who heard the commotion rushed to the scene to assist. Despite their swift efforts, they could only manage to save Anjali from the turbulent waters. The three other girls could not be revived, marking a devastating loss for their families and the community.
